Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

You may feel tingling, pain, or stiffness in the thumb, index, middle, and part of the ring finger. These symptoms may get worse at night and keep you awake. This can be caused because the weight gain and edema of pregnancy can narrow the passage for the median nerve. You can reduce this feeling by drinking skullcap infusion, taking vitamin B6 – 25mg in addition to a B-complex – for two weeks, or visiting an acupuncturist. You should also stabilize your wrists at night, and try to avoid sleeping with your head on your hands or wrists. If pregnancy is the primary cause of your carpal tunnel syndrome, it will go away after the birth of your baby.
