It is not unusual to notice a profuse vaginal discharge, which can be thick or thin. It is caused by normal body changes in labor and has a protective effect against infection. Unfortunately, it also makes you more likely to get vaginitis. Keep the area clean and make sure you’re only wearing cotton-crotch undies (changed as frequently as needed for you to feel comfortable). You can also wear party-liners and change them frequently. If you do notice any cottage cheese-like discharge, or a fishy odor you should notify your care provider.
